Irene is an investor focussed on sustainability, next generation materials, manufacturing and circular solutions in the textile industry. Throughout her career, Irene has invested in 38 climatech companies and mentored and advised 100+ sustainability companies on building and scaling globally, supporting them directly to raise £70m+ in funding. Irene is an Expert for the European Commission and European Innovation Council and a Mentor for the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Alex Base has worked within the corporate and finance sectors for over 25 years advising on ESG and developing strategic solutions for global organisations.  His experience spans the fields of sustainable finance, corporate sustainability, values led leadership, learning and development, and behavioural and organisational change. 

Jeannette has a diverse portfolio career which includes serving as a non-executive director in the private and public sectors, working with clients as a mentor/coach and strategic advisor, and teaching leadership and governance. Jeannette Lichner has been involved with CISL since 2018, as head tutor on the High Impact Leadership course. She has been a Senior Associate since 2022.

Alison is the founder of Alma Verde Advisors, which provides strategic consultancy and training services to private equity, venture capital and other investors on how to incorporate responsible investment into their investment decision-making and ownership engagement.

Dr Ellie Standen has over 15 years’ experience tackling climate change, across business, academia and government sectors.  Primarily as a low carbon energy consultant, Ellie has worked on accelerating the deployment of low carbon transport and hydrogen energy systems through developing novel demonstration projects and supporting commercialisation by bringing together collaborative partners to develop demonstration projects of low carbon technologies.

Erinch Sahan is an expert on social enterprise, Fair Trade and ways to design businesses so they follow a social or ecological purpose. He currently leads the work at Doughnut Economics Action Lab to translate the concepts of Doughnut Economics into the world of business. He has extensive experience in leadership roles across the world of business, NGOs and government with a particular focus on transforming businesses to ensure they pursue social and ecological goals.

Martin Parker is both a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Engineer (Civil) with a background in infrastructure finance. He focuses on sustainability and ESG in infrastructure and recently has been involved in a major initiative to decarbonise the UK housing stock. He is a graduate of the MSt Interdisciplinary Design for the Built Environment (IDBE) offered at CISL and holds a PhD from the Cambridge Centre for Sustainable Development.

Jeremy is an independent facilitator and executive coach and is also associated with several small, niche consultancies. As an associate with the Moller Institute of Executive Education at Churchill College, Cambridge University, he is faculty on their Advanced Coaching programme and Explorer Mindset Leadership programme.

Alan has over 30 years’ experience of working with global companies and governments on sustainability. In April 2021 he joined Drax as the Group Director of Sustainability. Drax’s ambition is to the world’s first carbon negative power station and is the largest producer of biomass for energy.

Deanna is Professor and Director, CSRM and MISHC, People Centres, Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI), The University of Queensland (UQ), Brisbane. She is a leading international expert focused on the social and political challenges of the global mining industry.
