Bruce has taught on CISL's online courses since 2017 when the first course was offered and has been a Head Tutor on both the Business Sustainability Management Course and the Business and Climate Change course.  He also served as a regular member of faculty on CISL’s Sustainability Practitioners Programme in South Africa

Bridgitte Backman holds a B Sc. (Chemistry) from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands with an exchange final semester at the Haas Business School, University of California at Berkeley in the USA. She speaks English, German and Afrikaans and has set her next language as Spanish.

David Farrell is a founding partner of Blue North Sustainability (Pty) Ltd, a Stellenbosch-based consulting practice specialising in supporting agricultural supply chains, from farmer to retailer, in the integration of sustainability programmes and practices into their business strategies and operations.

Strong finance professional with a Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Cape Town & a Master’s Degree focused in Environmental Science from University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Sandrine Dixson-Declѐve has 30+ years of European and international policy, strategy and business leadership experience with a particular focus on climate change, sustainable development, green growth, conventional and sustainable energy solutions and sustainable finance.

Anton Cartwright is an economist focussed on Africa’s urban transition, infrastructure and services, green finance, environmental degradation and poverty alleviation and the implication of these issues for the discipline of economics itself.  He has post-graduate degrees in Economics and Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford where he was a Rhodes Scholar.

Ken’s career has focused on maximising multi-stakeholder engagement for the equitable and sustainable delivery of public services particularly for poor households in emerging and developing economies over the last 25 years. He provides advisory and review as well as research and facilitation services to a wide range of public, private, civil society and funding organisations.

Tom Burke is the Chairman of E3G, Third Generation Environmentalism, and a Visiting Professor at both Imperial and University Colleges, London. He is a Senior Associate at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, and Chairman of the China Dialogue Trust and a Trustee of Black-E Community Arts Project, Liverpool.

Elizabeth is the East Sussex Council Member for the Royal Agricultural Society of England; she sits on the BBC’s Rural Affairs Advisory Committee, the Mutton Renaissance Steering Committee and the Experts Panel of Natural England.
