Pierre is an Independent Consultant for Finance and Sustainability. His main clients are large financial institutions, renowned corporations as well new disruptive entrepreneurship initiatives. Indeed, amongst several mandates, he is a Senior Advisor for BNP Paribas and Blunomy, Project Advisor for Deme Group and Senior Advisor to the CEO of innovative nature-based businesses such TerraGrn and Blue Finance. Pierre is also a Senior Associate for Cambridge University For Sustainability Leadership.

Janice Lao, PhD cand., is an internationally multi-awarded environmental scientist and economist working with businesses so they can be a force for good for the world.  At 30, she developed the initial mathematical and economic modeling that was the basis for international aviation’s carbon-neutral growth strategy.

Samsurin brings over 20 years of industry, research, and teaching experience at the intersection of technological disruption, sustainability, and the circular economy. His latest venture, HyveGeo develops a unique bioengineering approach to address two grand challenges – boosting food security in arid regions and removing millions of tons of carbon dioxide from the air.

David Carlin leads risk programming for UNEP- Finance Initiative (UNEP FI). He has worked with over 100 financial institutions on topics of climate scenarios, climate risk assessments, and sustainability regulation. He and his team support financial actors across the world to develop best practices for managing environmental risks and identifying environmental opportunities. 

Michael is a Partner at Cambridge Innovation Capital and is focused on life sciences investments. Before joining CIC he was a Principal in the Healthcare Practice Area at The Boston Consulting Group. Michael has experience in advising multinational businesses across North America, Europe, India, and Japan. Prior to BCG, Michael was an Investment Analyst at Oxford Capital Partners.

Andrea Westall has 30 years experience in public policy at local, national and international level – leading think tanks; advising government, being part of international taskforces and commissions, and as a Senior Research Fellow in academia. She uniquely combines this expertise with practical project implementation; as well as leadership, strategy, and governance of businesses and organisations, often working within and across the boundaries of business, government, civil society and academia to create multi-disciplinary and collaborative partnerships for change.

Salil Tripathi is a writer and human rights practitioner. He is senior adviser at the Institute for Human Rights and Business, and a board-member of the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (UK) and PEN International. He is also on the human rights advisory panel for Meta. He is also a contributing editor at Singapore Unbound and the Caravan magazine.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge and have 20+ years of diverse experience as a lawyer and sustainability specialist in South Africa and the United Kingdom. An External Advisor to the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) Global Board Programme and a frequent contributor to CISL’s executive online programmes in sustainability leadership, I specialise in strategic sustainability advice and leadership development.

Fiona Cannon was most recently Group Sustainable Business Director at Lloyds Banking Group leading the Group’s work on Purpose, Social Sustainability, Responsible Business and Inclusion and Diversity as well as ESG reporting. She is currently the Chair of Surviving Economic Abuse, the only UK Charity raising awareness of economic abuse.

Oliver Balch is a Writer and Journalist specialising in sustainability and the role of business in society. He is a regular contributor to The Guardian, The Times, Reuters, and The Financial Times, among other publications. He holds a PhD from Cambridge University in Anthropology and Latin American Studies, with a focus on the role of sustainability in foreign direct investment. He is the author of books about South America, India, and Wales /Faber & Faber).
