Gianna  Huhn, Research Assistant to the Director

Gianna Huhn joined CISL in June 2018 as Research Assistant to the Director on a part-time basis.


Biography:

Gianna works closely with Polly Courtice to produce monthly horizon-scanning reports that summarise the latest trends, innovations and developments within the field of sustainability. She also works on responses to ad hoc research requests for state of play on particular topics arising from within the institute. Gianna is currently in the final stages of her PhD at Durham University looking at the capabilities approach by Sen and Nussbaum in relation to the well-being and human development of workers in the manufacturing industry. Her experience includes studies at the University of Giessen, FINEC in St. Petersburg, and the University of Ghana before joining Durham University as PhD student and seminar teacher in 2015. Her MSc thesis focused on economic and ecological sustainability in pharmaceutical companies.
