Nicolette Bartlett is a well-known sustainability thought leader with over two decades of global experience bridging the private sector, policy, and science. Most recently, as the Chief Impact Officer at CDP – the only global independent environmental disclosure platform with the most comprehensive dataset on disclosed environmental action by companies, cities, states & regions. One of the pioneers of ‘Transition Plans’ and ‘internal carbon pricing’, Nicolette has authored or edited a number of high-profile reports on corporate accountability on nature and climate; climate risk & opportunities; science-based targets; carbon accounting; impact management, amongst others, and which have been featured in high-profile outlets, influencing institutions like the IMF and World Bank, making a meaningful impact on sustainability practices.

Nicolette was a founding trustee of the Science-based Targets Initiative; been on the board of the We Mean Business coalition; on the Technical Advisory Body of the Net-Zero Data Public Utility; Co-chair of Working Group 3 of the UK’s government’s Transition Plan Taskforce as well as a Project Board member of the RE100 initiative. She currently sits on the Expert Advisory Group for the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI); is a Senior Associate of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership; an Associate of the Senior Common Room of Churchill College, Cambridge and a Senior Advisor to CDP.
