14 May 2026 – Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) is pleased to welcome GaiaSicura as the newest member of ClimateWise, its insurance leadership group convened by the Centre for Sustainable Finance.
Represented by Founder and CEO William Butler, alongside colleagues Sagal Ali and Kai Cooper, GaiaSicura will join ClimateWise members in advancing research and leadership tools that support the implementation of the ClimateWise Principles and drive sustainable transformation across the global insurance sector.
GaiaSicura is London’s first specialist nature-focused insurance broker, with a mission centred on securing a future for nature. Its expertise in nature-related risk and emerging approaches to insurability brings a distinct and timely perspective to ClimateWise’s work, particularly as the sector responds to accelerating biodiversity loss and climate-related impacts.
As part of ClimateWise, GaiaSicura will contribute to collaborative research and industry engagement aimed at strengthening the role of insurance in enabling a net zero, nature-positive, and resilient economy. This includes supporting efforts to improve understanding of nature-related risks, unlock innovative insurance solutions, and expand the boundaries of what is insurable in a rapidly changing risk landscape.
