Edmund leads CISL’s contribution to the Aviation Impact Accelerator (AIA); he previously focused on business and nature work within the Policy and Systems Change Collaboration Team which he joined in 2022. Leading the AIA’s work on stakeholder engagement and policy convening, he works between CISL and the Whittle Laboratory which houses the modelling and data analysis specialists working on alternative fuels, fleet, systems efficiencies, non-CO2 and other topics to address the climate impacts of aviation.
Prior to joining the AIA, his recent work included the EU Horizon A-Track project investigating nature-positive aligned business models; co-ordinating CISL’s engagement with international policy meetings including COP16 and COP30; supporting CLG Europe with a report on nature-based carbon removals; and project managing the delivery of CLG UK’s BGA Business Leaders Summit.
Edmund holds a BA in Geography and MSc in Global Sustainability Solutions, both from the University of Exeter, and prior to joining CISL he worked in biodiversity consultancy with projects spanning a number of sectors. He previously completed an internship with the British Antarctic Survey researching the greenhouse gas emissions from whole-lifecycle food production and consumption in the polar regions.
