Brishni Mukhopadhyay is a Client Portfolio Manager at Western Asset Management (subsidiary) and Franklin Templeton Investments (parent). Brishni also serves as the Head of Sustainable Investing at Western Asset Management. Additionally, Brishni is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and serves as an Angel Investor and VC mentor for start-ups and ventures at the University of Cambridge.

Biography

His work has spanned investment banking and asset management across multiple investment strategies. Brishni has experience of raising capital and working with large institutional clients globally. Within Sustainable Finance, his work includes evaluating suitable companies for investments, assessing and engaging with companies on the financial implications of their sustainable objectives. Brishni has previously worked with J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Lazard Asset Management and J.P. Morgan Investment Bank.

Brishni also currently serves as a member of the CFA Institute’s Education Advisory Committee, having previously served as the Chair of the Sustainable Investment Advisory Panel and Co-Chair of the Value Investing Special Interest Group. Brishni holds a M.S. in Operations Research (Finance) from Columbia University in New York, M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sheffield and is a CFA® charterholder.
