Brian E Kurtz is Chair of the Climate Technology Association. He is a global strategist dedicated to leveraging design, technology, and social innovation to drive transformative change. He collaborates with leaders from Fortune 100 companies and international organisations to launch global initiatives, accelerate ventures, and advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Currently, Brian advises the US Department of Energy’s Chief Commercialization Officer and Director of the Office of Technology Transitions, focusing on private sector, philanthropic, and intergovernmental engagement.
As Board Chair of the ClimateTech Association (C-TA), Brian leads efforts to align cross-sector priorities and promote climate action. Previously, he was a Partner at The Kurtz Group, guiding executive teams through strategic growth and change for over thirty years. With more than a decade of experience in marketing, business development, and leadership across both large corporations and startups, Brian has visited over 150 innovation labs on five continents. He is also a frequent speaker on innovation districts, intrapreneurship, and cross-sector collaboration.
