FAQs

Which course do you recommend?

This will depend on your area of interest and learning objectives. We would be happy to advise you on which course is best suited to your needs.

I would like to send a group of people on your courses. Is this possible?

Yes. We can easily accommodate group enrolments.

What is the enrolment process?

Enrolment on our 8-week online courses is managed by our service delivery partner, GetSmarter. Please contact us so that we can connect you to an account manager. They will guide you through the registration process, including invoicing and student onboarding. You will be required to accept GetSmarter’s Terms and Conditions and Data Sharing Addendum. See here for details: Terms and Conditions for businesses (getsmarter.com).

What is the enrolment deadline?

You must notify CISL of the number of participants at least 14 days before the course start date (ideally earlier). If your organisation has any special requirements (eg complex vendor registration), please ensure you factor in additional time. Students will not be permitted to enrol on courses that have already started.

What are your payment terms?

Invoices must be paid before the course start date unless otherwise agreed. Your organisation may qualify for 30-day payment terms. This is subject to a minimum order quantity of 10 course seats.

Can I purchase course seats directly from CISL?

In certain instances, it may be possible to purchase seats directly from CISL. Please contact us to discuss options.

Are the courses delivered live on UK time?

The modules and assignment deadlines for our courses are based on UK time. However, the content of the course can be studied at your own pace, so you can work through the material at a time that is convenient for you. The courses also have Live Sessions scheduled throughout the course and across course cohorts. These are set at a time that is convenient for both students and live speakers. These sessions provide an opportunity for interactive learning and discussion with the course tutors and other students. The sessions are recorded, and you can watch them later. You can also submit questions to the speaker in advance.

How is the course structured?

The course runs for 9 weeks entirely online including the orientation module with modules being released on a weekly or two modules for every two-week basis. For the duration the course runs, assignments have specific start and end dates with deadlines you must adhere to. Modules are released on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM - UK and you will have up until the next Tuesday at 11:00 PM - UK to complete the module. There are no set times you are required to be online throughout the duration of the course, and you will be able to manage your time based on your own schedule.

What a module will consist of: lecture notes, pre-recorded lecture videos, readings, discussion forums (small group & class wide), live sessions (where applicable). The course is continuous assessment-based, and there will be weekly/bi-weekly assignments to complete. The weekly assignments will consist of the following: assessment quizzes, enrichment activities, quizzes, case study activity submissions.
