Hosted by IKEA, this closed-door roundtable aims to discuss broader international developments on nature-positive action that will happen during Climate Week NYC, including announcements due from Business for Nature.

We are holding this event to feed into the discussions around nature that are expected to be prevalent at New York Climate Week this year, convening a spectrum of our key partners from business, NGOs and advocacy organisations. The aims of the session include:

  • Reflection on what progress has been made since the signing of the Global Biodiversity Framework at COP15 in 2022.
  • Introduce CISL’s forthcoming work to facilitate and incentivise the adoption and scaling of nature positive business models.
  • Explore challenges and opportunities to accelerating business and policy action towards a nature positive future.
  • Identify areas for action that CISL could drive forward in collaboration with partner organisations, business and government.

In particular, we envisage centring the discussion around the following priority areas:

  • The need to place nature at the heart of policymaking and regulation.
  • Integration of nature as a core component of business models and strategy setting.

We are delighted to be joined by Eva Zabey, Executive Director, Business for Nature, and further speakers to be announced to introduce the context of these discussions and provide their thoughts on the current situation, recent progress and priority areas for future focus. We will be limiting attendance to around 25 people to ensure we retain space for everyone to share their thoughts and ideas.
