Programme overview

For 29 years, The Prince of Wales’s Business & Sustainability Programme (BSP) has helped over 4,500 senior executives translate complex sustainability trends into strategic business decisions, supporting individual leadership, business strategy and systemic change.

Every year, we deliver the BSP in key parts of the world. CISL has a long history of welcoming delegates from across Asia to the Cambridge seminar. The programme looks at the global challenges facing business, government and finance and is tailored to the regional context. We are working closely with our Steering Committee, Network Ambassadors and resident experts to ensure the content is shaped to the lived experience of senior delegates in an incredibly unique cultural, political and geographic context.

Influencing over 4,500 leaders from 1,750 organisations in 100 countries

Over three days and nights, a diverse group of senior executives from local and global firms, as well as from government and civil society, will discuss with Core Faculty and a range of expert contributors the implications of resource depletion and climate change, the problem of continued growth, the potential for a new economic paradigm, some of the more inspiring responses of business and the requirements of leadership in these times.

How do we consider participants from the same industry?

The programme provides a safe space for delegates to share and co-explore challenges and ideas relating to their personal and professional context. All discussions are treated as confidential and are conducted under the Chatham House Rule. For some of the more sensitive conversations, attendees from competing organisations are allocated to different syndicate groups, however, there is nothing to prevent these individuals engaging in active debate and sharing of ideas - in our experience, delegates appreciate the opportunity to interact with their peers on a shared sustainability agenda.

Access cutting-edge research and engage with a global network

The programme gives senior executives the knowledge, confidence and commitment to lead change at an organisational and individual level. With access to the latest research and thinking from the University of Cambridge and leading experts from our network, delegates will leave the programme inspired to take leadership and create an enabling environment for sustainable business – identifying new opportunities for investment, innovation and collaboration.

Direct association with the programme and exposure to influential decision-makers within our network of over 30,000 alumni will support delegates reputation as leaders in business sustainability.

Connect with peers and access the latest thinking through our newsletter and social media networks.
