Khumo has over 16 years’ experience in various senior human resources-related roles in the mining industry in South Africa. Until the end of January 2013, she was the Executive Director of Royal Bafokeng Holdings, responsible for people and sustainability.
Biography:
Khumo has worked in a wide variety of capacities including transformation, HR consulting, HR strategic planning, BEE and related community empowerment, HR turn-around projects, sustainable development, shared services applications, and rollouts of information technology systems.
Khumo has sat on a number of boards, including Royal Bafokeng Holdings, Impala Platinum, Astrapak, Fraser Alexander, Vodacom South Africa, MB Technologies Lebone 11 College of the Bafokeng, among others. She is a fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative (ALI). She is also an alumna of the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership. Her formal qualifications are Journalism (Rhodes); BSc (Med) Hons (Psychology); MSc (Clinical Psychology) (MEDUNSA) and Executive Masters in Consulting and Coaching for Change (HEC Paris and University of Oxford).
