Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)

Tsvetelina Kuzmanova is a Senior Project Manager at CISL Europe, where she works on sustainable finance policies. Tsvetelina engages with EU institutions and stakeholders to achieve policy reforms for increased public and private sector investments for a climate-neutral and nature-positive economy. Her work helps divert capital flows towards assets that contribute to sustainable development. Tsvetelina is also a Member of the Insurance Advisory Panel at the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG).

Biography

Prior to joining CISL, she worked at E3G as Senior Policy Advisor on Sustainable Finance and EU policies. Previously, Tsvetelina worked for several government authorities – as advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria for the Management of EU Funds, to help draft the country’s Recovery and Resilience Plan, and on EU legislation in the national non-banking financial regulator. She has also worked on international development projects in Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, specialising in renewable energy and infrastructure. Tsvetelina holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Political Science and Diplomacy from Yonsei University, South Korea.
