Visiting researchers

On occasion, we will accept visiting researchers whose research falls into alignment with the above priorities. In exceptional cases, we may consider projects which lie outside of this framework.

Visiting researchers will be expected to cover their costs and living expenses such as accommodation. In addition, visiting researchers will need to contribute to the administrative and research costs incurred by CISL to host researchers.

Please note, we are unable to take on students as visiting researchers as we cannot provide supervision. For students at HE institutions within the UK who are interested in working with CISL, we recommend considering our work oppportunities programme below instead.

If you would like to apply, please complete our visiting researcher application form.

Work opportunities

On occasion, we offer opportunities to work with CISL researchers. Typically, these appointments are offered between four weeks and nine months and open to undergraduate or postgraduate students from HE institutions within the UK or who already have the right to work in the UK. In exceptional cases, we may consider expressions of interest from those who have recently completed their studies and are currently outside education.
