Enrolment

1. How do I sign up/ enrol for a course?

You can book quickly and easily online from the relevant course page. Please select the option to enrol and proceed with the relevant steps to complete your purchase.

If you purchase your course through our e-commerce system, you will be granted automatic access to it. Our delivery partner, Cambridge Advance Online, will process your order for orders made using other payment methods as quickly as possible. Once we receive your payment, we will grant you access to the course.

 

2. Can I make a booking on behalf of someone else or a group?

Yes, to make a booking on behalf of another person or a group of people (up to a maximum of 5) on the website, during the booking process, you will be required to provide the name and email address of each individual you are enrolling, please select the option to enrol on the relevant course page and choose the option to book on behalf of another person. Once the payment process has been completed, you will be sent an order confirmation email, and the participants will receive enrolment instructions.

3. How can I ensure a course is at the right level for me?

Our foundational courses are designed to provide you with essential knowledge in the area of sustainability.

Payment and Refunds

1. What payment methods are available?

The different payment options available are:

  • Credit card: You can pay for our courses directly on the CAO website using a credit card or debit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express). Our website's payment portal is fully secured with advanced encryption technologies, ensuring that your personal and financial information is protected
  • PayPal: If you have a PayPal account, you can use it to purchase your course. Select PayPal as your payment method. If you have any problems paying with PayPal or need help with your account, please get in touch with PayPal customer support.
  • Quote: For corporate clients with bookings for more than five people, you can request a quote via our enquiry form. Please check the organisation's contact page for further details. Once you have received your quote, we will email you instructions on how to make the payment.

 

2. I have a promotional code; how do I use it?

If you have a promotional code offering you a discount on our courses, you can use this to purchase via the website. Look out for the ‘apply promotional code’ checkbox on the review and payment page.

If you have trouble applying your promotional code online, please check your code for spaces and errors. If this persists, please get in touch with Cambridge Advance Online’s customer service team.

 

3. I’ve changed my mind. Am I able to receive a refund?

CISL’s self-paced online courses are delivered in collaboration with digital education provider University of Cambridge Online (CAO). These links will take you to the CAO website.

4. I have purchased a course but have not received an email confirming the purchase.

Please check that the emails haven’t been sent to your junk folder. If you haven’t received an order confirmation email, or if you are a first-time purchaser and you haven’t received an email with instructions on how to complete your registration, please contact: uoc.online.techsupport@cambridge.org

Study

1. Will I receive a certificate on completion?

Upon successful completion, you will receive a digital badge. The digital badge can be added to your LinkedIn profile.

 

2. Are the courses accredited by the University of Cambridge?

The University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership designed the self-paced foundational courses. Please note that these courses do not bear credits.

 

3. Can I resubmit course work?

The self-paced courses are assessed through quizzes, which may be retaken.

Access

1. Where will I access the course content?

Please note, that whilst our courses are accessible through the Canvas App, we cannot guarantee all Canvas App features will work as expected. We therefore recommend using a desktop device for certain parts of the course to have the best experience

 

2. How do I access the Virtual Learning Environment (Canvas)?

Log-in to Canvas with the email address and the password, you created when you completed your account registration. If you still need to create a password, please complete your account set up and follow the instructions sent to you via email. 

Privacy

1. What personal data do you store and what do you use it for?

The University of Cambridge will store your personal information in order to liaise with you as a consequence of your interest in our work, and (with your consent) keep you up to date with University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) news and let you know of future programmes and events.

We do not share your personal information with any third parties outside the University of Cambridge, other than those who are responsible for delivering all or part of a group, initiative, or event, except with your explicit permission. At times, personal data may be sent, including internationally, via email and other platforms for the purposes of efficiency.
