The eBoard encourages women to apply for Board positions in collaboration with the Dubai Women Establishment. Spearheading the sustainability efforts across the exchange and the wider financial industry in the UAE, Shyrose was instrumental in the exchange joining the United National Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative in 2016. Shyrose’s wide-ranging advocacy work includes participation in Advisory Groups with the UN SSE and Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI) contributing to two global Reports: UN SSE - How Regulators can support the Sustainable Development Goals and the CFA Institute and PRI report on ESG Integration in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa: Markets, Practices, and Data. Shyrose is also a member of the UAE Sustainable Investment Working Group, the Dubai Islamic Economic Development Centre Green Sukuk Working Group, the UAE Sustainability Majlis, and the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) / UN SSE Advisory Group on ‘Embedding Sustainability in Exchange Operations’.
Shyrose is a Certified Investor Relations Officer and member of the Middle East Investor Relations Society, member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and works closely with Hawkamah - Middle East Institute of Corporate Governance, the CFA Institute and CFA Society Emirates to increase awareness of ESG in the region. Shyrose is the Chairperson of the DFM Sustainability Committee, and member of the DFM Smart Borse Committee supporting the Dubai 2021 Vision to become a smart city through the digital transformation of DFM. She is also an advisor to the DFM Women Council and CSR department at DFM.
Shyrose is a graduate of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), Master of Sustainability Leadership and holds a BA (Hons) Business Studies degree from the University of Lincolnshire, UK. In 2019, she was appointed as UAE Ambassador by the CISL.
