Sarah Millar is an adviser on UK, EU and international environmental, climate and energy policy with over 15 years experience.

Biography

Sarah was the Head of International Stakeholder Engagement at the Department of Energy and Climate Change from 2009-2016. Sarah has supported Ministerial engagement with business and civil society for each COP from Copenhagen to Paris, contributed to numerous Government publications including the Road from Copenhagen and the Path to Paris, as well as delivering progressive business support for ambitious EU 2030 climate and energy targets which later became the Green Growth Platform.       

Before joining UK Government Sarah spent nearly a decade in Brussels working for the Confederation of British Industry, the Mayor of London, and in the European Parliament. During that time Sarah worked on environmental dossiers including EU ETS I and II, Industrial Emissions, emissions from vehicles, waste, water and air quality legislation, chemical regulation and GMO provisions.   

Sarah studied law at the University of Hull and Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg, and International Relations at the Centre Europeen de Recherches Internationales et Strategique in Brussels.
