Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)
Charles Ainger retired in 2008 after 40 plus years in water engineering worldwide. He is active in graduate teaching, and writing, focusing on facilitating leadership for innovation and change, for people moving their organisations towards sustainability. He is now also active in living in and developing affordable, community based and sustainable housing.
Charles’ practical professional engineering experience informs his academic, facilitation, and innovation and sustainability expertise, and couples with his global business and cultural experience. His experience bridges two critical gaps: between engineering practice and academia, and between sustainability, economics and business, and engineering.
Charles had more than 41 years of experience in water and environmental engineering, in 16 countries.
