26 July 2018 – The Investment Leaders Group (ILG) has welcomed La Banque Postale Asset Management to its group of global investors leading on directing capital towards sustainable economic development.

La Banque Postale Asset ManagementLa Banque Postale Asset Management (LBPAM) is the latest organisation to join the Investment Leaders Group (ILG), a voluntary member initiative striving to create an investment chain that prioritises economic, social and environmental sustainability. The ILG is convened by the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).

Daniel Roy, CEO at La Banque Postale Asset Management said:

“Thanks to sustainable finance, financial markets will act as a driver for the virtuous circle of economic growth. SRI is not a trend to follow but the mainstream activity for the coming years.”

Kajetan Czyz, Programme Director for Sustainable Finance at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership said:

"The low carbon transition and UN Sustainable Development Goals increasingly affect financial flows. LBPAM's clout, scope and client solutions focused approach will give a strong boost to the Investment Leaders Group's ongoing work in this area."

LBPAM joins the 10 existing members: Aegon Asset Management, Aon Hewitt, First State Investments, HSBC Bank Pension Trust (UK), HSBC Global Asset Management, Nordea, Nuveen, PIMCO, Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) and Zurich.

La Banque Postale Asset Management is a multi-specialist asset manager, based in Paris and employing 230 people. LBPAM specialises in credit strategies and insurance solutions. It also boasts renowned expertise in Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) and will begin the leading 100% SRI generalist manager by 2020. With €220 bn in AuM at the end of June 2018 LBPAM ranks fifth among asset management companies in France.
