Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)

Anna is the Chief Operating Officer at Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), part of the University of Cambridge. In this role, Anna is responsible for overseeing all of CISL’s operations which underpin our mission for impact.

Biography

Anna is a Chartered Environmentalist with over 20 years’ experience as a sustainability expert.  She is the Chief Operating Officer at Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), part of the University of Cambridge.  In this role, Anna is responsible for overseeing all of CISL’s operations which underpin our mission for impact.  Anna was also CISL’s lead on the final stages of the Entopia Building (1 Regent Street) retrofit. 

She has a deep understanding of the built environment sector, having previously been a Board Director in a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy for ten years. In this role, Anna worked with a range of clients, including public and private sector property developers, infrastructure asset managers and developers, and construction contractors across a realm of services from ESG advisory, due diligence, compliance, Environmental Impact Assessment and sustainability appraisal. 

From 2018 to 2019, Anna was co-chair of the trailblazer group responsible for developing the environmental practitioner degree apprenticeship, and is now a member of the Institute for Apprenticeships Green Apprenticeships Advisory Panel.
