December 2012 – The State of Sustainability Leadership is the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)’s annual collection of ideas and research into how business and policy leaders are tackling the challenges of the 21st century.
This year’s edition focuses on leadership for the long-term – ‘The Future in Practice’. It asks: how can executives think far-sightedly, and interpret their responsibilities towards future generations, to build a more sustainable business world? How can we discover the implications of decisions taken, naturally enough, in 'the fierce urgency of now'?
With expert contributions from CISL's worldwide network of business leaders, policymakers and academics, many of whom have contributed to our sustainability courses and business platforms, The Future in Practice: The State of Sustainability Leadership will tease out what we can expect of sustainability and business from the next 50 years, as well as highlighting progress towards factoring that foreseeable future into business decisions today.
