Neil was appointed to the board of Johnson Matthey as Managing Director, Catalysts & Chemicals in August 1999 and additionally assumed board level responsibility for Precious Metals Division in August 2002. He was appointed as Chief Executive in July 2004. He is currently a non-executive director of AMEC. He was Chairman of the Sustainable Consumption and Production taskforce and has been a member of the Advisory Board for the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. He is a founding member of The Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group.
