Jill Ashcroft Campion

Jill has a first degree in law and is a Solicitor qualified in England and Wales. She worked as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer in the City after qualifying. She was then appointed European Counsel for Harman International Industries Inc, working for Harman both in London and Paris. Jill developed a keen interest in building, land use and the impact of planning on communities and the economy. She took her MPhil in planning, growth and regeneration at the University of Cambridge and is in the process of writing up her PhD, also at Cambridge, researching the decision-making process of nationally significant infrastructure projects under the Planning Act 2008, using the Case Study of the Airports National Policy Statement.

Jill’s main research interests are in infrastructure planning and public law and their roles in Net Zero policy making, with particular focus on the field of aviation.
