What are the Sustainability Leadership Laboratories?
The Labs are two-day events, held biannually, focusing on some of the most pressing issues and cutting-edge opportunities relating to sustainable business.
Inaugural lab, 16–17 July, Cambridge: Transforming business to deliver sustainable value

Our inaugural Lab will provide a deep dive into new tools for sustainable business concentrating on creating sustainable value.
Participants will develop a new lens for business innovation and gain an organised method for implementing sustainable change. These tools developed by the University of Cambridge Institute for Manufacturing Centre for Industrial Sustainability (IfM) will enable participants to gain fresh perspectives on value creation and capture in their organisation.
The keynote speech at the Lab will be given by José Lopez, Executive Vice President, Nestlé SA and member of our Advisory Board.
The Lab will include a Gala Dinner in the beautiful historic setting of Christ’s College.
Who should attend?
The Labs are designed for alumni and current students of our graduate programmes as an opportunity to reconnect with each other, whilst updating their sustainability knowledge and skills. A small number of places are also reserved for senior sustainability professionals who hold equivalent qualifications or have substantial experience in the field.
Applications and fees
Applications for the July Lab are now being accepted. The closing date is Monday 1 June 2015.
Fees are £1,800, which includes all teaching fees, learning materials and is inclusive of £350 for accommodation, all meals and refreshments, and the Gala Dinner. Some small bursaries may be available for deserving candidates who are prevented from applying due to financial reasons.
