Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)

Angela has joined as a Programme Manager in the Executive Education team where she designs and delivers customised programme for senior leaders in the business space, with a current focus on the finance industry.

Prior to joining CISL in 2023 she has worked in consultancy, academia and the private sector in practitioner and teaching roles leading sustainable change. She started as a green building professional qualifying as a BREEAM, CEEQUAL and Estidama assessor, in the UK and Europe, then managed the sustainable design components of the sitewide infrastructure team at Masdar City – a high profile sustainable city in the Middle East. She became chartered as an environmentalist and moved from practice to academia. Here she undertook both teaching and research roles focusing on a range of sustainable business topics. She has a PhD is in environmental economics analysing business use of environmental valuation techniques.  Following her PhD she worked to implement her research at a UK utility company, leading their business for nature work.

With experience of both practice and academia she loves helping others translate the latest sustainable development thinking in practice, in day-to-day roles. She is passionate about helping businesses understand the value of nature, supporting change towards a more sustainable economy.

Outside of work she loves being outdoors, running, her hometown of Bristol, baking and anything travel related.
