CLG Europe Chair and Vice-Chair
5 February 2026 - Fleming Voetmann, Vice President of Public Affairs & Product Regulatory Affairs at the VELUX Group, has been confirmed as the new Chair of CLG Europe, and Helena Norrman, Executive Vice President and Head of Group Communications at SSAB, as Vice-Chair.
This follows the end of Gonzalo Saenz de Miera, Iberdrola’s Director of Climate Change and Alliances, term as Chair. In their roles as Chair and Vice-Chair, Fleming Voetmann and Helena Norrman will advise on the strategic development of CLG Europe and help represent the interests and perspectives of the group’s business leaders.
Sharing a common ambition to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness, resilience and long-term prosperity, Fleming Voetmann and Helena Norrman step into their roles at a time when the focus of the clean transition is increasingly on delivery, industrial transformation and the right enabling conditions for business. Together, they will work to ensure that climate ambition, policy stability and competitiveness reinforce one another.
As Chair, Fleming Voetmann will lead CLG Europe’s strategic direction and institutional engagement, with a focus on how to deliver the clean transition in a way that boosts competitiveness, strengthens resilience and benefits people.
“I am truly honoured to be leading such a distinguished group of companies and industries going forward. After several years of tailwinds for the green transition, we are now in a period of more geopolitical turbulence, with a heightened focus on how to get the green transition right – in a clever way that boosts our competitiveness, increases our resilience and benefits people”, says Fleming Voetmann and continues:
“I am very confident and optimistic because the purpose of CLG – a large group of ambitious, progressive companies across industries – is more relevant than ever and continues to grow. We share a vision that competitiveness, security and resilience go hand in hand, and that the green transition is both a business opportunity and a prerequisite for social fairness”
As Vice-Chair, Helena Norrman will support the strategic development of CLG Europe and contribute to strengthening a strong, aligned business voice advocating for ambition, policy stability and predictability at EU level.
“Europe’s future competitiveness relies on our ability to lead the transformation shaping tomorrow’s industries. In today’s context, it is crucial to have a strong, aligned business voice championing ambition, policy stability and the right enabling conditions. CLG Europe provides just that, and I am delighted to take on the role as Vice-Chair as this group of frontrunner companies continues to drive engagement and positive change”, says Helena Norrman.
