Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership

Jie Zhou joined in 2021 as Programme Manager for CISL’s Accelerator. With more than ten years’ work experience in both UK and China, Jie is passionate about bringing together leading businesses, governments, investors and emerging innovators to accelerate sustainability innovations.

 

Biography

Before joining CISL, Jie spent four and a half years working for the Ellen Macarthur Foundation where she was a core member of the China programme, and later she led Higher Education city demonstrator projects in London, New York and Shanghai. She was also co-author of the ground-breaking report “The Circular Economy Opportunity for Urban and Industrial Innovation in China”, published at World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Tianjin, China (2018). 

Jie holds a Master’s in Environmental Science from East China Normal University (2012), a Master’s in Economics and Politics of Energy and Environment from University College London (2016), and currently a MSt candidate of Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge (2020-2022).
