Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)
Brishni Mukhopadhyay, CFA is the ESG Product Specialist for Western Asset Management, which is a Specialist Investment Manager of Franklin Resources, Inc, the holding company for Franklin Templeton Investments and its subsidiaries. Brishni also contributes as a visiting lecturer at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and serves as a mentor for start-ups and ventures at the University of Cambridge.
His experience spans sustainable finance, evaluating suitable companies for investment in sustainable mandates, engaging with companies on the financial implications of their sustainable objectives, pitching and raising capital and thought leadership. Brishni has fifteen years of experience within Asset Management and Investment Banking having worked at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Lazard Asset Management and J.P. Morgan Investment Bank.
Brishni also currently serves as the Chair of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute’s ESG Advisory Panel. He is also a member of the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Climate Change Investment and Impact Investing panels within CFA Institute and CFA UK. He has also served as a steering committee member of the Carbon Transition Initiative within the Emerging Markets Investors Alliance. Brishni holds a M.S. in Operations Research (Finance) from Columbia University in New York, M.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sheffield and is a CFA® charterholder.
