Building markets for a clean and competitive Europe
14 October 2026 - A collection of business case studies from Corporate Leaders Group Europe showcases how companies are developing and scaling low-carbon products and solutions, and the conditions needed to support their wider deployment.
About
Europe’s industrial transition depends on turning low-carbon innovation into commercially viable products and solutions that can compete and grow. Yet developing new technologies and industrial processes is only part of the challenge. Businesses also need demand certainty for low-carbon products, collaboration across value chains, and conditions favourable for investment and large-scale deployment.
These industry case studies bring together examples of businesses developing and scaling low-carbon products, technologies and industrial solutions across Europe. They show how companies are creating and responding to demand, working with partners across value chains and building the commercial case for low-carbon solutions. They also explain the barriers which must be tackled, and showcase the business and competitiveness benefits that well-designed market rules unlock.
As the EU seeks to grow the demand for clean products and technologies through the Clean Industrial Deal and the Industrial Accelerator Act, practical business experience can inform policy makers in their work to create the conditions for markets to function well. The case studies highlight what is already working, where challenges remain, and where policy and private investment can accelerate industrial decarbonisation and support a competitive European economy.
