Sikho Luthango

Sikho Luthango is a Senior Research Associate at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) Africa, where she works on Africa’s just energy transition, focusing on the human and environmental rights governance of corporate mineral supply chains and green industrialisation. Sikho’s work ensures businesses engage with policy processes and understand their role in shaping credible transition pathways, including in platforms such as the G20 and UN processes. She also works with policymakers to strengthen African perspectives in regional and global sustainability debates, such as the UN Binding Treaty on Business and Human Rights and investment governance, including Investor-State Dispute Settlement. She previously served as Programme Manager at the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Southern Africa, where she worked extensively on supporting civil society and trade unions to engage in policy processes on the just energy transition. 

She holds a Master of Philosophy in Public Policy (Cum Laude) from the University of Cape Town.
