Dr Paul Fisher

Paul Fisher is an Economist who enjoyed a 26 year career at the Bank of England, including five years on the MPC,  two as Deputy Head, PRA and was briefly a member of both the interim FPC and the PRA Board. Paul now has a portfolio career working on a broad range of topics including central banking, financial policy and climate change. 

Current positions: Principal, PGFpolicy Ltd for consultancy work; Chair of the Supervisory Committee, London Platinum and Palladium Market; Chair, Licuido Ltd; Part-time Professor, European University Institute; Honorary Professor, University of Warwick Business School; Visiting Professor, London Institute of Banking and Finance; Visiting Professor, Richmond, the American International University in London; Fellow, CISL; Senior Research Fellow, King’s College Business School; Governor, NIESR; Member of the Advisory Board, UEA Centre for Competition Policy. Paul is the editor of ’Making the Financial System Sustainable’, November 2020, Cambridge University Press and has a PhD in Macroeconomic Modelling from University of Warwick.
