About
As a Senior Climate Specialist within the Climate Scenarios & Sustainability team, Bronwyn is responsible for continuous research and innovation in climate scenario analysis technology with a focus on overseeing communication about the policy, macroeconomic, and financial implications of climate change of Ortec Finance’s ClimateMAPS - climate scenario analysis solution. Based in Australia, Bronwyn is the lead on networks and client engagement and delivery within the Asia Pacific region.
Within the Climate Scenarios & Sustainability team of Ortec Finance, Bronwyn is responsible for continuous research and innovation in climate scenario analysis for investors and insurers. Bronwyn leads on engagements in the Asia Pacific region, being based in Australia.
Currently, she is working on applying the insights from a PPP Biodiversity Related Risks and Opportunities to the Financial Sector with by Wageningen Economic Research and the Foundation for Sustainable Development. In this role, she leverages her expertise in translating scientific research into economic and financial impacts within the biodiversity context, drawing on her experience in quantifying the impacts of climate change through Ortec Finance’s proprietary climate scenario modeling framework.
Before joining Ortec Finance, Bronwyn led ClimateWise at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, a platform uniting over 40 insurance firms to manage climate change and climate risk practically. She has also held various academic research and government roles, and spent seven years at KPMG’s risk consulting practice in Hong Kong and Australia.
Bronwyn holds a Bachelor of Science (Agriculture), Bachelor of Commerce and a PhD in agricultural and resource economics from the University of Western Australia.
