8 March 2024 - On International Women’s Day, Dr Nina Seega, CISL’s Director of Sustainable Finance, has been recognised as one of the 20 inspiring women in Reuters’ Trailblazing Women in Climate. The list demonstrates the influence, impact and leadership in the climate industry.
The Trailblazers were selected from candidates nominated by climate industry stakeholders as well as Reuters Events community.
The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is Invest in Women, accelerate progress, because ensuring women’s and girls’ rights across all aspects of life is the only way to secure prosperous and just economies, and a healthy planet for future generations.
Nina said: “This year is like no other. Geopolitical tensions and increased incidence of climate disasters will form the backdrop for roughly 3 billion people around the world going to the polls. Steadfast ambitious female leadership in politics, business, academia and the NGO sector will be key to ensuring that our communities and economies are ready to transition to a more sustainable, net zero, nature positive and equitable world.”
