7 October 2025 - We are pleased to announce a new strategic collaboration with Boston Scientific, which aims to accelerate sustainability in healthcare. By combining academic insight with industry expertise, the collaboration will explore innovative approaches that deliver value for patients and healthcare systems, while reinforcing a shared commitment to a healthier planet.
The first phase of the collaboration is the Commercial Sustainability Accelerator, a co-developed educational programme for Boston Scientific’s commercial teams across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The programme is designed to strengthen sustainability skills and literacy, enabling teams to engage more effectively with healthcare providers on creating sustainable value.

Beyond this first milestone, CISL and Boston Scientific are working together through a mix of educational programmes, applied research and strategic collaboration to explore new ways of working with healthcare providers. The initiative advances both organisations’ sustainability strategies by identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impact, create shared value and drive innovations that benefit patients and communities.
At a global level, Boston Scientific is also evaluating sustainability awareness and learning needs across key business functions – from Upstream Marketing to Design and Global Supply Chain – with the goal of creating practical, scalable learning resources tailored to each area.
Together, Boston Scientific and CISL are embedding sustainable solutions that unlock commercial opportunities and deepen relationships with hospitals committed to advancing sustainability.
