This high-level Implementation Lab organised as part of the Marrakech Partnership COP29 programme will highlight the opportunity of the new NDCs as vehicles for setting ambitious targets and policies to drive climate ambition through a just clean energy transition. It will show how policies can accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels, supporting investment in clean energy, in particular renewables, energy efficiency and electrification.
The event will include an interactive round table and is intended to showcase forward looking solutions from the real-economy, discuss key barriers and opportunities to overcome these, and workshop multistakeholder solutions and a way forward.
CISL has partnered with We Mean Business Coalition, InfluenceMap, Exponential Roadmap Initiative, CAFA, WBCSD, and IIGCC to organise this event, and CISL will be delivering the closing remarks.
