COP31: Competitiveness and Energy Security in a Carbon-Priced World

The event will explore how policy certainty, UK–EU cooperation and stronger business intelligence can help companies remain competitive in an increasingly fragmented and carbon-priced global economy. 

The discussion will consider carbon pricing, CBAM and UK–EU ETS linkage alongside the role of affordable clean electricity, electrification, resilient supply chains and innovation. Taking place ahead of the UK–EU Summit, it will examine the policy frameworks, infrastructure investment and business capabilities needed to turn decarbonisation into a source of industrial competitiveness and economic security.
