Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)

This private roundtable (proposed under Chatham House rules) will explore the critical role of business engagement with national and international climate advisory bodies in advancing effective climate policies and achieving global climate targets.

With COP29 in Baku serving as a pivotal moment for global climate negotiations, this session will bring together key stakeholders from climate advisory bodies, including the UK Climate Change Committee (CCC) (TBC) and a variety of international counterparts organised in the International Climate Councils Network (ICCN), including the Global South, to discuss best practices, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration with high-level representatives of the private sector, including UK Corporate Leaders Group members (potential businesses attending include Unilever, AVEVA, SSE, National Grid, IKEA and Iberdrola), as well as policy-makers.
