Bongiwe Mbunge is a Partner at Mazars where she leads the Business Sustainability Strategy & Human Resources Advisory, a qualified accountant with 10 years of external auditing.
Bongiwe’s key focus is in Advisory, she is the Head of the Business Sustainability Strategy & Reporting and Human Resources Advisory departments. Bongiwe specializes in business ESG integration, sustainability reporting, integrating reporting, net zero strategic planning, multi stakeholder value creation strategies. Focused on unique value propositions through engagements of business with their key stakeholders. Business sustainability focuses on the interconnectedness of Economic Efficiencies, Social Equity and Environmental Accountability.
Bongiwe is a Registered Auditor and qualified Chartered Accountant (SA). She has spent 12 years of her career in Accounting and External Audit departments working on and managing varied assurance engagements. Seven years of her career has been focused in Advisory Services.
Bongiwe is a member of the Governance Council of Mazars in South Africa, furthermore represents Mazars SA at a group level as a member of the Global Leadership Team for Sustainability. Within the African context, she is the lead for sustainability services for the Africa region of Mazars.
Bongiwe serves on a number of boards as a non-executive director where her passion aligns and has contributed on various platforms as a public speaker.
