About
Among other degrees William has a Master of Philosophy in International Relations from Cambridge University. With a background in development, policy, asset management, governance and business, his experience, aptitudes and interests are wide-ranging. He has a fascination with organisational governance. He was a member of the technical committees for the ISO standards on Organisational Governance (ISO37,000) and Sustainable Finance (ISO32,000). He is a director of a number of entities including the Social Enterprise Trust, Aephoria and the Africa Centre. He is a Principal with the Progressio Foundation. He is a fellow of the Aspen Institute’s Africa Leadership Initiative (ALI) where he is a member of the project approval committee. He has been involved in a range of different ventures and has been active in the assessment of impact investment initiatives relating a broad range of areas including agriculture, housing micro-finance, transport, carbon trading, education, training and waste management. He has a strategic mind and an extensive global network and thrives on building collaboration.
