COP31: Panel Discussion: Electrification as a Global Growth Opportunity

Electrification is not simply a decarbonisation strategy; it is a growth strategy. Countries and businesses that move fastest to build the infrastructure, skills, markets and partnerships needed for clean electrification will be best positioned to compete in the rapidly expanding global clean economy.  

Bringing together senior representatives from business and utilities across developed and emerging economies, this session will explore how electrification is emerging as a defining global growth opportunity. The discussion will showcase practical lessons from different markets on scaling infrastructure, investment and innovation, while highlighting how business leadership can help accelerate implementation of the COP31 electrification agenda.  

As a partner of Electrify Now, CISL is convening the discussion to explore how clean electrification can move from global ambition to implementation across sectors, markets and geographies. The event also forms part of the emerging UK Clean Growth Business Delegation programme at COP31.
