We are seeking a friendly, energetic and proactive person to become part of a dynamic facilities team.

 

You will be working in our Cambridge-based HQ - The Entopia Building – a world-leading ultra-sustainable retrofit, setting new standards for low energy use, carbon emissions and impact on natural resources.

 

Achieving multiple sustainable building certificates and boasting enhanced health and wellbeing benchmarking, Entopia represents one of the most interesting and sustainable premises in the University’s estate.

 

The successful candidate will be a motivated team player who will support the Facilities Manager with the day-to-day running of the CISL estate. The role holder will assist with providing a front-line support service for staff, building users and visitors across health, safety, and facility related issues.

 

Duties will include attending to multiple tea points, shared areas and meeting rooms, providing events support, troubleshooting and reporting H&S, AV and facility related issues. After training the role holder will undertake routine maintenance and inspection tasks and operate as the Deputy Fire Safety Manager.

 

The role is building-based (homeworking will not be an option with this position) and you will typically be required to work onsite between 08:00 – 16:00, Monday – Friday.

 

There will also be occasional overtime for out-of-hours building/events support. Advanced notice will be given, and finishing times will usually be no later than 20:00.

This post is permanent, full-time working onsite (in the building) during core business hours.
