Prior to joining CISL, Michael held teaching and leadership positions at international business schools in the US and Europe. For over twenty years, he directed Cornell University MBA and executive programmes In New York, Paris and at the main campus in Ithaca, NY. In his last position as Associate Dean, his portfolio of responsibilities included three Executive MBA programmes delivered in 21 cities throughout North and South America. Drawing upon his experience in programme design, development and delivery, Michael launched an innovative dual degree Executive MBA/MSc programme in Healthcare Leadership at Cornell. In his executive education and consulting activities, he has worked extensively in the technology, tourism, security and healthcare industries.
Michael previously served as Director of London Business School’s Senior Executive Programme, a four-week residential leadership development experience for C-suite officers and board directors. At LBS, he redesigned the curriculum, instituted an extensive post-programme learning journey and developed measurement tools to assess return on learning. During his seven years at LBS, Michael accompanied more than 1000 executives from 80 countries on the programme.
Michael earned a BSc in Management at Johnson & Wales University and an MLitt in International Relations at the University of Aberdeen. A US citizen who has lived in Europe for 30 years, Michael’s professional and academic activities have taken him to more than 100 countries
