20 June 2025 - ClimateWise, the insurance industry leadership group facilitated by the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), has announced that Felicity Hall is its new Programme Director.
ClimateWise brings together the insurance industry into a member network which integrates sustainable leadership with world-leading research capability to address the impacts of climate change.
Felicity joins CISL from her role as Head of Sustainable Finance Innovation at the City of London Corporation. As a sustainable finance specialist with a background in investment and consultancy, Felicity has previously held senior roles including Associate Director at Global Counsel and Senior Investment Associate at Ruffer LLP. She said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership as the new Programme Director for ClimateWise.
“At a time when the twin crises of climate change and nature loss converge against an increasingly complex geopolitical backdrop, the insurance sector stands at a critical crossroads. It holds a unique and powerful lever to accelerate the transition to a sustainable economy - not just as a risk manager, but as a catalyst for rewiring finance, and an incubator for innovation.
“The transition to a sustainable economy is not just a challenge we have to meet; it’s a real opportunity to rethink how we manage risk, develop new products, allocate capital and ultimately build a more resilient financial system. I’m excited to work with others who share this vision within ClimateWise.”
CiimateWise is uniquely placed to bring together business, government and academic expertise. It provides a collective voice for the industry, a forum to interact with other stakeholders, and and it enables the transition of the insurance industry through a defined set of Principles aligned to disclosure requirements.
