
The UK Business Group Alliance for Net Zero (BGA) Business Leaders' Summit at London Climate Action Week aims to:
- Convene business and financial institutions to demonstrate business and investor action, identify policy gaps, and galvanise cross-sector business/investor support for collaboration opportunities, and
- Feed a business voice into the development of the UK’s Seventh Carbon Budget and the next UK NDC and increase ambition from both parties in the run up to the UK general election in July.

Workshop topics
The summit will consist of a series of parallel workshops involving participants discussion around topics where the UK needs to increase net zero ambition, including:
- The next UK NDC and keeping below 1.5 degrees
Climate and finance: The NCQG and the role of business and innovative finance models - Heavy industry and supply chain decarbonisation
- Energy transition and grid decarbonisation
- The built environment: retrofitting, energy efficiency, and new buildings
- Land use, adaptation and resilience: the UK’s land use strategy
- Low carbon innovation and technology for climate solutions
- Achieving sustainable road transport.

The UK Business Group Alliance for Net Zero is a formal network of leading business groups working to increase political and business ambition with the aim of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in the UK. It draws together some of the most ambitious and proactive business groups and organisations to work together and works collaboratively with the UK Government and other stakeholders.
The coordination of the BGA is led by the UK Corporate Leaders Group, hosted by CISL, and guided by a core group of members that includes the Aldersgate Group, BCC, Business in the Community, CBI, CDP, Energy UK, IIGCC, UKBCSD, UKGBC and WMBC.
