Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)

This official side event is a collaboration between Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), the Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI) and the University of Cambridge Conservation Research Institute (UCCRI) as primary partners with support from Cambridge Zero.

To secure futures in which nature, biodiversity and people thrive together requires transformations in economies and societies, with justice and equity at their heart. These can draw on multiple forms of science, knowledge and action, including those inspired by local and indigenous communities and by private sector engagement, but need the right forms of governance and finance to take them to scale.

This event will demonstrate how such research-action linkages can support just transformations and so help further the objectives of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).

Speakers will include:

  • James Cole (Chief Innovation Officer, CISL)
  • Melissa Leach (Executive Director, Cambridge Conservation Initiative)
  • Prof Chris Sandbrook (Professor of Conservation and Society, University of Cambridge)

Please note that access to the Blue Zone is restricted to delegates officially accredited to a CBD observer organisation. All times are Colombian local time (GMT-5). This event does NOT require registration. We look forward to seeing you there!
