Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)

Supported by the UK Government, Innovation Zero provides a space and opportunity for collaboration, breaking down silos, and overcoming obstacles to drive large-scale, impactful progress towards global emissions reduction.

On 30 April CISL's CEO, Lindsay Hooper, will take part in the panel discussion Global Net Zero Push: Leaders, Laggards, and Lessons. The speakers will explore which markets are leading the charge, which are lagging behind, and what each segment needs from the other to accelerate progress. Discover the key factors driving success in leading markets and the support needed to bring lagging regions up to speed. Gain a comprehensive understanding of the global landscape in the race to net zero.

The same day, Alice Spencer, CISL's Executive Director of Education, will discuss Green Skills: Building a Net Zero Workforce. The rapid acceleration of the energy transition is creating millions of new job opportunities. But the demand for green skills is outpacing the available workforce, posing a major challenge to the clean energy transition. What strategic actions should governments and industry leaders take to ensure the future workforce is equipped to meet the labour demands of this evolving sector?
