Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL)

Part of the ‘Nature Innovation: Catalyzing Entrepreneurial Solutions for Biodiversity and People’ theme day at the Colombia pavilion, CISL is pleased to host this exciting panel event exploring the role innovation can play in meeting the goals of the Global Biodiversity Framework.

Drawing on Canopy, our community of innovators based at CISL’s Cambridge HQ, and our network of leading corporate and financial actors, our Chief Innovation Officer, James Cole, will lead a discussion to understand how an entrepreneurial mindset can combine with a supportive enabling environment to accelerate action towards nature positive outcomes.

Among the topics discussed will be the types of innovations needed to address the nature crisis, the importance of innovating both within existing businesses and supporting new businesses, and some specific examples of action from our panellists. We are pleased to welcome the following speakers to our panel:

  • James Cole, Chief Innovation Officer, CISL
  • Genevieve Patenaude, Co-founder and CEO, Earthblox
  • Victoria Leggett, Head of Impact Development, UBP
  • Tom Quigley, Co-founder, Superorganism
  • Kerry Constabile, Director of Decarbonisation Strategy, Amazon

Please note that access to the Blue Zone is restricted to delegates officially accredited to a CBD observer organisation. All times are Colombian local time (GMT-5). This event does NOT require registration. We look forward to seeing you there!
