13:45-16:30 ET
Co-hosted by Deutsche Bank and the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, this event aims to bring business and finance leadership together to present examples of the economic and wider benefits of aligning nature and climate objectives to decision-makers, including key EU leadership.
Following the launch of Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), the event will showcase finance and business appetite to align climate and nature action and will be held at the Deutsche Bank Center on Columbus Circle.
The keynote address will be given by Virginijus Sinkevičius, European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, EU Commission and we will have high level speakers from across finance and business join, profiling new CISL reports and insight that detail the tangible actions that can be taken by the private sector on nature today.
The reports are Let’s Discuss Nature with Climate (Banking Environment Initiative and Investment Leaders Group), a guide for the financial sector to integrate nature into existing climate-related engagements with corporates, and CLG Europe’s Business Briefing on Nature Restoration and its economic and societal benefits. This follows CLG Europe’s recent experience of the discussions on the EU’s nature restoration law.
