19 March 2018 – The Natural Capital Impact Group are delighted to announce Primark have joined its global network of companies who work collaboratively to determine how business can better sustain the natural world and its resources.
Primark is a major fashion retailer with over 350 stores in 11 countries with global supply chains.
Dr Gemma Cranston, CISL Director, Natural Capital, said:
“I am delighted to welcome Primark as our newest member of the Natural Capital Impact Group. We very much look forward to helping them embed sustainability throughout their supply chains and create positive outcomes for natural capital”.
The Group is currently developing a new healthy ecosystem metric with components focused on water, soil and biodiversity. The addition of Primark to the Group could help to broaden the testing of this new metric before it is launched later this year.
